The Project
The Daniel Read Project is the creation of one of Daniel Read’s modern relatives, Otis Read. Our mission is to research, compile, and present the work of Daniel Read, his life, and his impacts on early American Psalmody. We also aim to connect with the many places, musicians, and congregations that were and are impacted by his work.
Who we are
Otis Read is a musician who began writing and performing music in 1971. A resident of Warren, Rhode Island, Otis is deeply connected to his ancestor through both music and place.

Eleanor Dobson
Historian
Eleanor Dobson is a lifelong historian and independent consultant. Eleanor has undergraduate degrees in history and anthropology from the University of Rhode Island and a masters in museum studies from John Hopkins University. She resides in Warwick, Rhode Island.
